ClutchNet custom clutches and pressure plates - SurfRodder - 12-28-2013

So I was talking to Oleg over at ClutchNet.com today and he mentioned that they are currently offering 20% off and free shipping for all products (code: WINTER at checkout).
After talking about my application (mostly street with some occasional track/abuse) I am going to order C6413 which is their most grippy Pressure Plate and their organic friction disc (he talked me out of the Carbon and Kevlar linings for my application) in a bundle . He says the included "Red" pressure plate grips like 75% better than stock. Anyway, supposedly the deal is thru the end of the month... just in time for my next paycheck.
Thought that maybe some of you gents had some xmas cash youre looking to donate to your "projects".

Decided to pull the trigger.. I'm going to use a 16v flywheel so I ordered the "stage 3" setup from clutchnet for a 190e 16v. A friend of mine found a euro 124 in the PnP and snagged the trans setup. Flywheel from the 603 weighed in at about 16 lbs which is very close to the 16v flywheel weight.

Oleg said it should take about 10 days to get me the clutch and pressure plate.

Found the flywheel online on car-part.com Ended up getting it for $110 shipped from a dismantler in FL.

Should be overkill for my pretty much stock car, but I'm not planning on it staying mostly stock forever Big Grin

I ended up ordering mine in December of last year... never got it, apparently he couldnt source the stock clutch and PP to modify. I ended up having to call my bank and have them reverse charges... I was already in Bahrain for at least a month or so when I finally decided to go that route. He stopped returning my phone calls after it was a month or so overdue...my parents even went by his place a month or so after that...anyway, Im super bummed because I really need a new clutch and wanted to get one that could take a little abuse... I may end up ordering one here for a Euro 6cyl gasser (to match the flywheel I have) and bring it back for him to modify. or just run it stock, I dunno...

I think Ill bring back my 220TE from bahrain with me and try to drop a 605 or 606 into it... I have already installed a diesel ignition switch, so that's covered 8> A harness for a diesel shouldnt be too hard to come by these days. I am going to keep an eye out for any diesels in the yards here...once I have the spae time to find out where they are!

cap, did you ever get yours?

It took me a while to get my organic disc from them. I started e-mailing and calling, but never got an answer or a reply. It showed up about 2 weeks later.
