Selling everything - JustPassinThru - 12-12-2013

Sold my house, moving now to an apartment; parking space for only one vehicle, and that's going to be my pickup truck. Thus, I'm selling everything.

See http://www.superturbodiesel.com/std/Thread-FS-the-good-manifolds-front-wagon-sway-bar-much-more?pid=44919#pid44919

for a list; the bazaar is once again open, and this time ain't gonna close! Everything must go!

DIBS'ed already: the radiator and oilpan skid plate, that's going back to mike-81-240d from whom I bought it.

Further updates here as I dig through my garage. Dieselboy's original OM617 intake manifold is also for sale.

Watch this space for specials!

HO HO HO!!!

RE: Selling everything - MTUPower - 12-12-2013

cooling mist pumps price and description?

RE: Selling everything - mike-81-240d - 12-12-2013

I might want the intake manifold too to hide in my attic haha. Maybe I can take a look at it in person when I meet you for the plates.

RE: Selling everything - JustPassinThru - 12-21-2013

My apologies for not getting back to everybody who has replied here or PM'ed me; I got stuck in a remote town with my Ford Ranger needing a new clutch kit. No convenient Internet access. And now that it's fixed, I must go to Oregon to spend Christmas with family. I will respond to everyone as soon as I get back, which will be Thursday or Friday.

RE: Selling everything - JustPassinThru - 12-26-2013

bla bla bla...

RE: Selling everything - JustPassinThru - 01-03-2014

All prices are OBO. Everything must go!

W115 intake manifold, $200 shipped (continental US)

1978 300SD exhaust manifold (no EGR) $125 shipped.

RE: Selling everything - Simpler=Better - 01-03-2014

Not to scuttle a good firesale, but can you get a second parking space from the apartment complex? If you promise to park out of the way they might go easy on you

(01-03-2014, 01:48 PM)Simpler=Better Not to scuttle a good firesale, but can you get a second parking space from the apartment complex? If you promise to park out of the way they might go easy on you

Nope, only one parking space.

Coolingmist 150psi pump. No fittings, just the pump, reduced to $60 shipped (photo below).

OM603 engine, drop it in and go, includes manis and IP, local pickup only, $500. I bought this last spring from BW W124 moderator Zeitgeist.

Dieselboy's W115 intake manifold --SOLD.

1987 300TD wagon, no engine, no tranny, just the body. Gold paint, "gold" interior (or whatever they called that color), roofrack, good glass, really just needs engine and tranny, hatch has a small dent. $1,000 OBO. It's in Renton, Washington.

OM603 IP,
PES 6 M55 C320 RS 178
Photo below.
I bought this from Zeitgeist so it's probably good.
Make offer.

1985 300D, it's the one I hit the deer with. Nautical blue + palomino. Got the nose straightened out at Bellevue Collision Repair, it looks good, but the hood, while close, is not a precise color match and has a pinstripe! Better than average interior, front seats are better than nice. Engine and tranny are still in it but engine will need replacement. Basically, you're buying a good body. But the engine+tranny are still in it, so you get all those spare parts and for all I know the tranny is still good. $900 hauls it away (and you pay title transfer). Car is in Renton, Washington. Four replacement doors with manual window cranks, $300 for all four.

W123 windshield, taken from a 1979 300TD NA wagon. They must have driven it slow everywhere, it's practically flawless. No gasket. $100 local pickup only.

RE: Selling everything - JustPassinThru - 01-05-2014

Package deal: OM606.962 engine (missing oil pan, IP, and pulleys); OM606.912 engine, essentially complete; and the above-described OM603 IP. All three, $1600, local pickup only in Renton, WA.

UPDATE --I just found an oil pan...it *might be* the .962's...I'll need to check it tomorrow.

RE: Selling everything - JustPassinThru - 01-05-2014

Euro headlamps, square Bosch style, but not Bosch, not Depo either, they're the Latvian or Lithuanian reproductions. Condition very nearly new. Corner lamps not included, reflectors and faces are flawless. Some chewing on the back knobs. First offer to buy has fallen through; first $175 takes.

1981 240D dashboard (will fit any W123; has the cold-start-knob hole to the left of the steering column), almost flawless, one 1-inch crack by the right-side speaker. $100 local pickup only.

Nose bra for W123, black, by Colgan, used once, like new, $75 shipped.

Bosch Euro W126 headlamps --SOLD man those sure went fast

Palomino rear headrest kit for W123 sedan...make offer.

Palomino and blue interior pieces...ask.

Can verify the reflectors are literally flawless as are the lenses. Wink

RE: Selling everything - JustPassinThru - 01-06-2014

On the above-described 606.962 engine: I bought it from a local fulltime professional WVO-kit installer. He bought it to put in his GF's car but then they broke up. The Florida junkyard from which he bought it, he says, told him it has only 40,000 miles on it.

I *think* the pulleys from the OM606.912 will fit it. Can someone verify this?

RE: Selling everything - JustPassinThru - 01-10-2014

Reduced prices:

M pump, with black-knob lift pump, includes the injector lines but not the braces, SOLD.

W115 intake manifold, $150 shipped.
1978 300SD non-EGR exhaust manifold, $100 shipped.

RE: Selling everything - JustPassinThru - 01-13-2014

The above-described-and-shown Coolingmist 150psi water-methanol pump, just the pump, price reduction: $60 shipped.

Kent Bergsma's pop tester

https://mercedessource.com/store/diesel-fuel-injector-balance-pressure-tester-yes-you-can-do-it-yourself

for which he charges $189.50 plus shipping.

You can kinda sorta do the job with this unit --it is certainly good for detecting if your spray pattern's no good, or pop pressure far too low-- ...but, once you have it in front of you you will probably easily see how you can make a much better one yourself out of a bottle jack and a larger, more precise dial gauge. Nice to have this fuel line and fitting though, so you don't have to engineer it yourself.

If no one takes it by Friday at $100, the price drops to $75.
--*edited* Friday now. Price, $75 shipped.--

I have also have one of his kits left over, containing the Monark nozzles, crush washers and shims. I haven't come to it yet in my garage. Keep checking this thread.

RE: Selling everything - JustPassinThru - 01-13-2014

Euro W123 headlamps --SOLD
M-pump with black-knob lift pump and lines --SOLD

240D HVAC unit (everything from the firewall back). I'm gonna start taking it apart. If you want the blower motor, the heat exchanger, or any other piece, describe it and make me an offer. I promise I won't report you to the Skate Police Big Grin .

RE: Selling everything - JustPassinThru - 01-13-2014

1978-9 OM617a intake manifold, no EGR (Part # R 617 098 01 07) ...make offer.

1978-9 OM617 naturally-aspirated intake manifold (from a 1979 NA 300TD wagon), $50 shipped.

Saab Blackstone intercooler, $50 shipped. Like this one:

Tool pouches. One with tools, one without. Make offer.

RE: Selling everything - capflya - 01-15-2014

A friend of mine was looking for the non egr turbo exhaust manifold. I'll pass the link on to him, not sure if he is a member on here but he is on peach parts.

RE: Selling everything - JustPassinThru - 01-16-2014

The found oil pan is indeed for the OM606.962 (part number 606 014 08 02), however is holed and cracked. Standard practice in junkyards.

Price clarification: 1978 300SD OM617a charge pipe (intake manifold) (no EGR) (Part # R 617 098 01 07),
$75 shipped.

MW pump for core (though, for all I know they work fine), $125 shipped. Have two, possibly more.

1985 California Garrett turbo for OM617a, no axial play, under 1/2 mm side to side play, could almost be said to spin freely. Probably nearly new. I found it on the cabin floor, still attached to a good trap ox. My guess is, it's the turbo the car originally came with, and it was replaced under warranty in the trap ox fiasco, and the dealership let the owner keep it, and when he scrapped the car he sent this turbo with it to that great car wash in the sky. $125 shipped. Add $50 if for some bizarre reason you want the trap ox. Actually, if the reason you want it is entertainingly bizarre enough, I *might* throw the trap ox in for free.

Selling everything -- three-inch downpipe - JustPassinThru - 01-25-2014

Custom W123 OM617a 3-inch downpipe.

This sweet brute masterpiece was welded-up for me by the exhaust guru's at Austin's ProMax in Puyallup. It provides approximately 44% more volume than the stock 2-1/2-inch downpipe, in the crucial first three feet of exhaust system, thus helping to reduce or even eliminate backpressure. So that your turbocharger can breathe like you need it to after you've boosted the fueling.

It's three-inch all the way from top to bottom, except for the inlet and outlet ends which are stock (2-1/2-inch flared to about 3, correct for the stock turbocharger and exhaust pipe sealing gaskets; these ends are from an actual stock 300D downpipe). A good turbo shop or exhaust shop should be able to provide a coupling to it for virtually any turbo which even a slightly insane person would use with an OM617a (my plan was to go with a GT2359V and custom extended-tip compressor wheel, and reach for around 190-200 horsepower). The flex piece is stainless.

Designed with care (and, exhaustive trial-and-error) to fit the car as-is, without having to modify or move the various and sundry components it passes by (e.g. manifolds, battery tray, firewall, transmission bell housing, starter motor, inner bottom edge of wheel well, and the mating end of the exhaust pipe behind it).

You will need to bring this downpipe and your car to a reputable muffler or exhaust shop, have them trial-install it. And then they can do a final fine-adjustment of the bend (if necessary) to position it far enough away from your starter motor to avoid heat-damaging it, and to compensate for slight differences in alignment depending on which turbocharger you are using, and if you are using an alternative exhaust manifold (e.g. a 1978 300SD non-EGR one).

Selling everything --extended-tip compressor wheel - JustPassinThru - 01-26-2014

Custom extended-tip compressor wheel for GT2359V.

This is a duplicate of the "deep superback" 62/65 wheel which Alex (majesty78) machined-up and mated to a GT2359V for use in his OM613. See his build thread for the story:

http://www.superturbodiesel.com/std/Thread-Majesty78´s-Majestic

In particular, see posts # 40 through 47 to understand what it is and how I came to acquire it from him. See post # 56 for this wheel's compressor map. Evidently it's a Borg-Warner wheel which Alex had custom-machined (and/or, machined-up himself) to fit a Garrett shaft and housing.

Upon careful study of the compressor map...my speculation is that this wheel transplanted into a GT2359V, exactly the combination Alex first used, would make the ideal turbocharger for obtaining a readily-available and very useable 200 horsepower from an OM617a with fueling raised to 95 cc per thousand strokes. Alex on his OM613 eventually changed to a larger (GT25) turbine-side (exhaust) wheel, but that should not be necessary (nor desireable) on an OM617a (with its lesser airflow rates). (In fact, if the GT23 exhaust-side proves too large. i.e. doesn't build boost quickly enough upon takeoff, it just *might* turn out to be better to go the other way, i.e. move down to a GT2256V and transplant this wheel into it. The GT22 has been often disparaged for being overly constricting on an OM617a, but if you couple a GT22 (with this wheel) to the 3-inch downpipe it might not be overly constricting after all.)

Notice how extraordinarily wide the compressor map is --it *should* provide much quicker boost off the line than a stock Garrett wheel --and in fact does, in Alex's experience on the OM613--, and it looks like this wheel is virtually invulnerable to surge at the flow rates you'd see in an OM617a.

I strongly suspect that a GT2359V, this wheel, and the 3-inch downpipe of Post #28, combined with an M-pump with larger plungers and barrels installed by either Göran or Pasi...plus an intercooler (my intent was to first gamble on two Saab Blackstones in parallel, with Plan B being an air-water intercooler from www.frozenboost.com)...will be the ultimate combination for a street-driveable, downright thrilling W123 300D.

But, it's all only theory until someone has the daring and time and money to try it. I've got the daring and money, but unfortunately have run out of time.

You will need to take this wheel and a GT2359V to a first-class turbo shop --I was planning to have it done by the corporate-world-headquarters machine shop of TurboTech, which is in Tacoma,
http://www.turbotechnologyinc.com/ -- and have them machine the compressor-side backplate (and probably housing) to accommodate it, install it, and balance it, following the pictorial guide in Alex's thread.

{Insert music here: Jimmy Page and Robert Plant, The Rain Song}
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XWAFzPoShRw

$150, shipped. Wayyyy below what I paid for it. There are only 5 of these in the world; I believe this is the only one outside of Austria, Germany, and maybe Britain. You'll probably never see another one for sale (well...unless you pay Alex enough for him to make you another one Wink ).

RE: Selling everything - JustPassinThru - 01-28-2014

Oh, I forgot...the OM606.962, OM606.912, and OM603a (turbo) engines described above, as well as the RS178 OM603 injector pump, are still for sale.

The 606.912 has 123,000 miles and is essentially complete, including manifolds and IP. The 606.962 has 40,000 miles and is missing the manifolds, turbocharger, and crankshaft pulley (I'm told the .912's pulley will fit, and you probably will want turbobanditen or similar manifolds and a non-stock turbocharger anyway). I now have a good oil pan for the 606.962. So the price now for both engines and the RS178 IP has risen, it's now $1700. It's still the steal of a lifetime. Local pickup only.

The 603 has 289,000 miles, but a recent new timing chain. No intake manifold, no cooling fan. Zeitgeist tells me it's a solid engine. I'm offering it on local Craigslist together with a 1987 300TD wagon body in very nice condition.

RE: Selling everything - sassparilla_kid - 01-28-2014

Too bad you're not interested in shipping the 603, I think it's just what my w123 needs lol

RE: Selling everything - JustPassinThru - 01-28-2014

(01-28-2014, 08:33 PM)Greazzer Will the Seahawks win ?

Probably. Depends on which Broncos the Seahawks defense can kill before halftime Big Grin

(Shows how old I am: I can remember when Dick Butkus and the Chicago Bears were the NFL's widowmaker defense.)

I just saw Joe Theismann on TV, he's picking the Seahawks. He said that, 15 out of the last 17 times when the #1 offense team (which, this year, is the Broncos) has played the #1 defense team (the Seahawks), the #1-defense team has won.

Update: local news radio station KOMO just reported that Elijah the Orangutang
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V34O6D3R810
has picked the Seahawks. He's correctly picked the winners of the last 6 Super Bowls.

RE: Selling everything - JustPassinThru - 01-31-2014

Updates: the windshield and 1978-9 non-EGR OM617a 300SD exhaust manifold are sold. Both W115 intake manifolds are sold. The California turbocharger is sold. I'm willing to crate and ship the 6.9 diff, via Old Dominion Freight Lines, price shipped is $750. Or pick it up from my garage in Yelm, Washington for $500. It's in very good condition, photos in the post below.

Going through my garage, I've found a Euro warning triangle (stored on the inside trunk lid). It's in fairly good shape, the business side is intact and nearly pristine. It lacks the original plastic-sheet flaps. Some paint-chipping and missing rivet-heads on the backside (my guess is, someone violently ripped away the plastic flaps). But all-in-all not too bad. The base swivels out smoothly, with just the right amount of resistance, and has little or no rust (a tiny amount of what might be the beginning of bubbling). The rubber feet are there and pristine. The original instructions decal on the backside, in German, is intact though a bit dirty. I pulled it from a 1985 Euro 500SE (W126), but its retention clip fits the W123. No doubt I will come across its retention clip by-and-by--it's got to be somewhere in the same vicinity in my garage. Price for both will be $35, shipped.

Selling everything: 450 SEL 6.9 2.65 LSD differential - JustPassinThru - 01-31-2014

Photos of the 6.9 diff. From a 1977 6.9. Price: $500 for local pickup, or $750 for me to pack it in a well-cushioned wooden crate (it weighs a bit over 100 pounds) and ship it via Old Dominion Freight Lines truck to anywhere in the lower 48. I'll open it up and take pics of the inside, next dry sunny day (might be a few days) (actually, probably not for at least a week, according to the latest weather forecast):

Selling everything: shipping status update - JustPassinThru - 02-01-2014

The pop tester and W115 intake manifold will be mailed out Monday. I took these two items to the post office just now, only to find the postmaster working alone behind the counter, serving a line of 37 customers. Every single last counter-clerk called in sick today. I simply didn't have time to wait that long.

On the California turbocharger: I received your payment 5 minutes ago. I will mail it out on Wednesday.

Except for the above three items, I now believe that I have mailed out every order received so far, except for the items I'm holding with a deposit.

Other than the above three items, if you ordered something from me, and have paid in full, and I have not yet PM'ed you the USPS or UPS tracking number, then please do PM me and give me either a swift kick or a polite inquiry, your choice Blush .

Thanks!

Have you found the Monark nozzles, I would be interested in them.

RE: Selling everything - JustPassinThru - 02-04-2014

Haven't spotted the Monark nozzles yet.

The Cooling Mist pump is sold.

Sale is pending on the OM606.962 + OM606.912 + RS178 OM603 injector pump package deal (including a good oilpan for the .962).

RE: Selling everything - JustPassinThru - 02-12-2014

The OM606 engines + OM603 IP package deal is sold.

There was a delay of about ten days in getting the turbocharger, EGR-less manifolds set, and CoolingMist pump mailed out, mainly because I got stuck in Eugene, Oregon for five days due to an ice storm. The turbo and pump are mailed now, the manifolds tomorrow.

Price reduction on 3-inch W123 OM617a downpipe: $200 shipped.

I now can *see* the Monark nozzles set, but it will take me a day or two to reach them through the tangle.

I have a 240D manual climate control still sitting in my garage. Might be missing a few of the frontmost parts (i.e. knobs and faceplate), not sure. Car it came out of was low mileage, so the core and fan probably still have years of life left. Took two days to pull. $125 shipped.

Set of five OM617a injectors, cleaned and adjusted to correct pop pressure by Greazzer, never used, $100 shipped.

RE: Selling everything - Greazzer - 02-12-2014

I got your package ! Thank you !

A stunning bargain even if I do say so myself.

If you want it, speak quickly! I've had emails from six and actual visits from two locals already. One of the visitors ended up buying the OM606 engines package deal instead, to swap into his own '87 300TD.

Did you find the Monark injectors yet? Are the intake manifolds sold?

The W115 intake manifolds are sold. I still have one 1978-9 OM617 turbo non-EGR intake manifold, and one W123 300D naturally-aspirated intake manifold.

I now have ten Monark OM617 (DN OSD 261) nozzles and five crush washers ("heat shields") in hand, ...

(four hours later)

...both sets of five and the crush washers are ***SOLD*** my those didn't last long...
