Interesting, I recently converted my Perkins 318 to a VE style pump.
What pumps do they have from the factory? And about what hp do they produce?

115hp with a VP44... the common rail version was 130hp stock.

These are great engines. But they have quite a bit of turbo lag. The turbo is quite big compared to the engine size.

The common rail ones in the mk3 mondeo pull like a stabbed rat... Never driven a ST-tdci, but with 155hp they ought to shift. I have the 2.4 in tddi and tdci form. The tddi is a stock 90hp, but the tdci is a remapped 100, it's about 125-130 and goes very well.

It's the 4 cyl version of the 200hp 5 cyl that is coming to the US in the Transit next year. Currently in the ranger and mk7 transit over here.
