question on NA vs turbo OM606 - McAdam - 08-22-2013

I have a project in mind, and it will be a high HP project. Would I be better off buying a 1995 NA OM606 because it already has a mechanical pump or should I buy a 1998/1999 turbo motor for the supposed stronger internals?

Although from what I have been able to glean from various internet sources, the NA engines are just as strong as the turbo engines.

Get a turbo engine and put a modified mechanical pump on it.The NA pump is a corker (RS203)

had to look it up:

corker
Irish

Meaning, essentailly, an odd, unique, peculiar, special, etc. person.

Simliar to "You're a trip"

Not necessarily bad, though not good either.
You're a corker <insert name here>.

That's rather funny!!
over here such sayings are everyday. In the UK a 'corker' means its a 'great thing' or 'person'.
A 'cracker' would be a similar saying with similar meanings.
For instance " I went to see a w124 and it was a corker, so I bought it on the spot"
