New Injectors - mxfrank - 05-23-2013

I'm building up my 602, and I have five brand new Bosch rebuilt fuel injectors. Can I assume they are properly set up, or should I send them out for pop testing?

1 phase of " brand new rebuilt" should have been setting all injectors to a predetermined value. If there is any doubt, contact the supplier and ask. Ed

Are they Bosch Germany, Bosch France or Bosch India on the body? Avoid Bosch India at all cost. Garbage.

Unfortunately, 4 from Germany and one from India. You can't always control what the parts dealer has on the shelf.

On my OM603 I had 5 bosch germany, 1 bosch india with 180k miles on the odometer. I rebuilt all of them but still had to wash soot off the back of my car every 1000 miles or so and I could see the little bit of smoke coming out of the back in people's headlights. Finally found a batch of bosch germany injectors in the JY from a car with 350k miles on the odometer. Tested them individually and picked out the best one to rebuild and replace the india injector. No more smoke, no more soot and the engine is quieter.
