Hello been lurkin on this site for a while and thought i will post a question, im wanting to put an om606 in my land rover, i would like to run the 300hp mark, im basicly after what turbo pump combo to use, is it easyer to use the 603 pump and have bigger internals fitted? or is there away to run the 606 pump? which turbo are you using, really need as little boost lag as possible.

look forward to your replys

603 pump can have larger elements put in for more fuel, not sure how much boost you would need though or what turbo to use

The 606 pump is difficult because of the computers and security systems used in a Mercedes! you need to use the complete wiring harness and key and transmission/computer. there have been a few people who figured out how to hack the computer and turn some of that stuff off or trick it into thinking the transmission is still there and stuck in drive to keep it from going in to limp mode! But that takes a lot of time or money and then your at the stock 177hp

a 603 turbo pump modified with 6.5 or 7.5 mm element will easily get you where you want to go. with out any electronics to complicate it. and will be the cheapest and easiest solution!

You don't say the age of the landrover but have you thought about how your axles are going to hold up with that kind of torque/power?
