Bailing on the Vacuum Pump - Joaquin Suave - 02-15-2013

I'v converted my Jeep Scrambler to a Hydro-Boost brake system, thus have no need for the vacuum pump on my motor (om602 2.9l).

Should I just cap it off or should I remove it and machine a cover plate to replace it with????

I would remove it if it isn't being used anymore. Are you using the vacuum shutoff still?

VE pumps have a solinoid shut-off.

I would fabricate a blockoff plate and sell the pump. Wasn't aware that you have a solenoid on/off
