there used to be thousands of those on the UK roads. They were popular during the winter with bikers as the UK law allows you to drive them on a bike license. As you can see they tend to fall over a lot lol.

RE: Three Wheel Car - Simpler=Better - 11-08-2012

Yeah I'd like a 3 wheeler, so long as the front had 2 wheels

RE: Three Wheel Car - Mark_M - 11-08-2012

Yes much more stable with the 2 at the front. Bubble car style.

When these cars came out in Europe which way round they were depended on what type of vehicle you made. Reliant made cars so the Robin got the two wheels at the back with a more traditional car live axle rear end. BMW made motorcycles so the bubble car (Messerschmitt KR175 was its proper name) got a more traditional bike back end. In all honesty they were all useless and pretty unstable but the Robin was probably the worst. Not sure what the Bond Bug was like as the damn things are so rare.

Those Robins are hilarious. When I first heard about them, I couldn't believe they even continued to produce them.

You all have one of those? That's cool!

The one Jeremy tested had no reverse, does your's have one?

RE: Three Wheel Car - w123love - 11-09-2012

Yes contrary to popular belief it does have reverse...lol. It has a solid rear axle and chain drive. Chain drive was so strange considering it was from BMW.

RE: Three Wheel Car - DeliveryValve - 11-09-2012

Yes I've seen them with reverse, never seen one without. That's why I was asking.
