manifold and flexi pipes? - Olivier - 11-08-2012

Hi All,
Wondering why no one seems to use those flexi SS pipes to do any manifold?
It seems to me a lot easier to bend a piece as a whole then to weld a whole lot of bends?
I know the air flow might be a little in turmoil with the rings shape but it would still flow? No?
Or those pipes are not strong enough to be right at the manifold?

Cheers.
Olivier

It won't be strong enough to hold the turbo, and th eengine vibrations will eventually cause it to crack from flexing.

It does seem like an easy way to mock up a manifold

OK, I was wondering why no one used those...
Cheers Smile
