INJECTORS -- PLEASE READ - Greazzer - 10-05-2012

For all those folks looking for MONARK INJECTORS, here's the scoop on them. Further, because there appears to be only ONE vendor now able to sell these in the USA, this might explain the pricing. Below is the email I recevied from MONARK SALES DIVISION. PLEASE READ:

"Many thanks for your inquiry. We highly appreciate your interest in our company as well as in our products. In the US we have an exclusive sole distributor, company Mercedessource, located in Bellingham, WA.
Therefore, we do not announce any other dealers for Mercedes Parts.
Please get in touch with them in order to purchase our products."

Best regards

THEREFORE -- I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT BUYER INTEREST THERE IS FOR OTHER-THAN-MONARK INJECTORS. That is, if I offered my injector service to include BRAND NEW injectors, 5 new crush washers, and 4 feet of return line for let's say $99.00 PLUS $17.00 shipping & handling, what interest would there be. Same process as before, you send me your injectors and I return them so they look and perform as new.

Post your thoughts or PM me. Thanks !

Who's nozzles would you be using instead?

Howdy,

Manufacturer is either going to be located in Italy or mainland China. I am now soliciting quotes for injectors which must meet or exceed the specificaitions, performance, and durability of German made injector nozzles. I am supposed to receive quotes no later than next Wednesday. I intend on acquiring a batch and pop testing them, et cet. to see how they perfor

My China supplier has a 10 month warranty on their nozzles, and that really surprised me. It would be interesting to see if other manufacturers you are talking with offer a similar warranty on their product.

I actually asked them what their performance life expectations were on their nozzles, and that is when they told me about the warranty. I have not heard anything good about China nozzles, but they all can’t be bad or they would not be in business. Government subsidies and cheap labor is hard to compete with price wise, which is good for us if you can find a quality manufacturer.

I recently chatted with a guy that was getting nozzles for .28 cents a piece I think it was. Granted he had to buy 100 or so of them, but still I seriously question the quality at that cost, lol

I put a $200.00 deposit for 4 Bosio nozzles and I am hoping that covers them and shipping lol.

RE: INJECTORS -- PLEASE READ - Greazzer - 10-05-2012

The jury is certainly out. I put some pretty stringent requirments on the quotes. That is, they MUST meet or exceed the spec's for German made nozzles such as Monarks. I was as specific as possible, but I agree that the quality issue or at least the stigma of chinese made nozzles has me concerned a little. However, I suspect that with the huge companies I contacted, there is some built in assurances of quality or at least a real company which will stand behind its product. We'll see.

RE: INJECTORS -- PLEASE READ - Purplecomputer - 10-07-2012

I am happy with the service you did with my bosios and rebuilt. Best money I ever spent. So if you do that with new injectors for $100 thats a steal because I spent twice that on just nozzles alone.

in total over a year

I spent $250 on injectors when the first time could be done for half that.

OK --

Got some updates over the long weekend. I guess China does not celebrate Columbus Day and I am somewhat surprised over Italy not celebrating it.

In any event, I got some initial feelers from manufacturers and I am now in the process of confirming a 36 month / 50,000 mile warranty issue. Also, confirming the spec's of Chinese made nozzles. I think the warranty is a little less than German made nozzles, but I can live with it.

RE: INJECTORS -- PLEASE READ - OM616 - 11-04-2012

Any updates on the nozzle options and quality warranty?

RE: INJECTORS -- PLEASE READ - Greazzer - 11-04-2012

My bad. I have been super busy with my parents and the new car and the wife's really long list of long over due house projects.

I can get them with a 2 year warranty and 20,000 miles. I told what I think the best vendor is that I need 36,000 miles and 3 years. They want me to send them a nozzle to copy I guess. So, I am working on that right now.

RE: INJECTORS -- PLEASE READ - sassparilla_kid - 11-04-2012

I'm on my phone so reading the whole thread is a little difficult right now, but aren't there larger nozzles that work better for superpumps? Would rebuilding with these be an option? I think I'm interested in rebuilt injectors regardless though, I think once I get an extra set

RE: INJECTORS -- PLEASE READ - Greazzer - 11-05-2012

Howdy,

Yes, I will post a picture of the nozzles I got for our super M pumps. I can send you a loaner pair while I rebuild yours so your car won't be down. Let me know. It is about an extra $15 because of the postage and heatshields, but no down time. I have done that for other members of this forum.

RE: INJECTORS -- PLEASE READ - sassparilla_kid - 11-05-2012

Awesome. Well no superpump yet but hopefully soon
