Om603 pump info - Pinchers - 07-23-2012

Ive got a Om606 and ive been searching for a OM603 diesel pump, im in the uk btw, i can find N/A pumps for reasonable prices. Should i try and find the turbo version of the pump for my conversion or can i use a N/A 603 pump.

I dont want to spend to much getting the pump modified - i would be getting the elements changed and that would be it, do i need to also get it converted to sense the turbo boost for adjusting the fuel.

Any input would be great.

Ive now got a chance to buy this pump but im getting conflicting info, can someone confirm if this is a turbo or a N/A version of the 603 pump.

Well it looks like it came off a manual transmission car, and those are usually NA.

Looks like a N/A pump that had the fuel filter bypassed. That's never a good idea.

that pump has an ADA on top of it(for altitude compensation) ,it is n/a with 5.5.mm elements just because it has a tube coming out of it does not mean it is a turbo rated pump ,you can buy it and then send it to myna or dieselmeken and they can make it fuel for you but you will need to be a bit cautious with the right foot so as not to smoke too badly at the wrong time.....

If you send it over to me, I can fix it for you and deliver the pump by myself, then I get a reason to visit Scotland and taste som fine single malts for a week or so.
Just tell me what output you want from it,200-300-400-450 or moore.

That sounds like a excellent offer dieselmeken, for the ford transit project that im planning to put it in i would be looking for 300 max i think, i want a sleeper but it still has to be drivable when moving the offroad toys about.

What sort of money would be in getting it built for the 300bhp?.

if you have any advise on a gearbox and FW/clutch i could use it would be appreciated. ive been reading alot of threads on here but any more advice would be great.

I would be looking to swap out the MT75 transit box and fit a replacement manual box.
