hydrostatic pump drive for OM616 - Freefuel - 07-01-2012
So I have a wacky question,
I'm interested in mounting a hydrostatic pump in place of the factory vacuum pump, and want to know how much power I can extract from that point without bending or breaking parts.

In as much as this is driven by the timing chain, I would not put any extra load on it. Not to say it would not take it, but why stress a critical part not designed for the extra load.

was looking for an "easy" place to mount a hydrostatic pump.
