How much of a PITA are they to pull off the engines?

There's 3 nuts/bolts at the front of the pump that will get you greasy reaching for them. Then if you're lucky you'll find the nut by the back of the pump has been removed and never returned. That's because it's all the trouble really. You may even end up removing the oil filter housing to get at that troublesome nut.
And of course all the injector lines and vcv need to get out of the way but, that rear 13mm is the main problem.
17mm for the injector lines, 13mm for the nuts that actually hold the pump, and some allen for the vcv (that white plastic piece). If you take that off it makes it way easier to pull the IP up out of the spot its in.

That's a great price. I could only get them for 100 bucks at my local yards.

Now if i could only get one in my local yards. At least 5 yards in a fifty mile radius and never a 300d in sight. I dont currently need a pump but if i saw it at 35 i would take it. :-) there are so little diesels in the yards around here the guys at the counterbprobably dont even know what an injection pump is. That all being said id probably pay the price here if i realy needed a pump because i never actually come across them. I will probably die before a diesel ends up in my yard.
