oil light? - iheartboost - 08-16-2011

so my oil light will go on occasionally. and idk why. i have plenty of oil. and good pressure.

any ideas? i tried to search here and on peachparts but nothing i found could tell me what that light actually means.

never mind.. i think i found it. probably just a dirty oil level sensor. gives me an excuse to change the oil again.

any suggestions? i was probably going to go with rotella t

yea sounds like good oil. and if it quiets up mine as well then what the hell why not. gotta be better than the 40 weight pepboys brand oil lol.

That would the be the oil level sender. It is located just above the lower oil pan, drivers side, in the middle. They are found on tne M103 engines as well, I pulled a replacement for $3 at the junkayrd. Make sure you use a new O ring.
