my w110 -65 turbo - Drivmerc - 07-31-2011

Hi

I have a mercedes w110 that I have done some work to. And thought that I could share some pictures and info about.

Its a 190D from the beginning and have 55hpstock and I actually destroyed 2 rear axles so the first mod was to build on a volvo rear axle because in Sweden i can get aftermarkets parts and its more reliable.

the " new " engine is a om616 -84 that I have build a turbo header to and modded a intercooler and a Schwitzer s200 turbo on it.

The pump is a M-serie pump with 7mm pumpelements fitted by
Göran aka Dieselmeken and delivers 120cc.

the performance was ok when I run with a smaller turbo no IC and the pump mod with 15 psi of boost. but haven't tried with the new Setup
yet.

Here some pictuers on my rare experimental project hope u like itBig Grin

RE: my w110 -65 turbo - Drivmerc - 08-01-2011

Yeah it´s from a 190D (Om621) if I dont remember wrong=)

Lars: Is that a w112 body..? Because I recognize the air compressor and that the front i much longer than on the w110Smile

RE: my w110 -65 turbo - mike-81-240d - 08-01-2011

Thats wicked cool!

RE: my w110 -65 turbo - larsalan - 08-01-2011

That's not my car and I don't know what the body is called I just pulled a web image to show that manifold.
Did a w112 ever come with an OM?
Or was the w112 all gasser?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Benz_W110
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Benz_W112

So you're saying the motor that mani came from is OM621 not OM615
All very old stuff Wink

RE: my w110 -65 turbo - Drivmerc - 08-01-2011

OK

It may be so that the more luxur w112 did only produce with Gassers
It can be a W111 and they come with OM enginges

(Sorry for my bad englishBlush)

RE: my w110 -65 turbo - willbhere4u - 08-01-2011

RE: my w110 -65 turbo - Drivmerc - 08-02-2011

Hi

on that video I had stock ip and stt turbo manifold and like 10psi of boost it was not so much power in it then......Tongue

RE: my w110 -65 turbo - willbhere4u - 08-02-2011

I'm running 10psi with out a wastgate near redline on my set up and it still feels like it was when it was stock but I'm hoping to get some decent power out of it!

I think my turbo is to big and old it starts spooling after 3500 rpm and spools very slowly

RE: my w110 -65 turbo - Biohazard - 08-02-2011

Nice burnout!! How much suspension travel to you have in the back before the rear diff contacts the body?

RE: my w110 -65 turbo - dieselboy - 08-02-2011

Nice. You put a g80 locker in the Volvo diff?

Like the color and all around shape of this car.

It's a W115.Cool

I am putting together a W110 khombi . it had a OM613 220D from a W115 with fourspeed when i bought it but i have a better 240D and automatic from another W115 i am going to fit into it.
i like your remote filter idea . On the right hand drive cars like mine there seems to be plenty of room for the oil filter to remain in the stock position.
I am fitting a front axle from a W111 280SE 3.5 with the bigger brakes and torsion bar.
i have yet to make my mind up what sort of diff i will run yet. it still has the original 4.10 swing axle diff.

RE: my w110 -65 turbo - majesty78 - 08-03-2011

If it didnt repeat in history of mb engines, the OM613 is not a 220D but the 320CDI ;-)

RE: my w110 -65 turbo - RonB - 08-03-2011

RE: my w110 -65 turbo - randomdude - 08-03-2011

AAAA U got a very very rare MB..or in sweden we only have 5 cars in the whole country(which isnt big) of that model, is it called like "Safari" or something like that when its a Station wagon?Big Grin

I changed My rear Axle because I broke down 2 with stock om621(55hp) Engine and I was in plans to get some more POWER out of my carSmile

RE: my w110 -65 turbo - OM615-OM617 - 01-15-2012

I have a question, it is on picture.

Could you(or someone else) explain me for what is this third hole?

Thanks

RE: my w110 -65 turbo - bad3gakk - 01-21-2012

My guess: the filter housing have the oilgauge mount on it, as my 605 housing has... then it will be in/out/turbo that you are looking at...

RE: my w110 -65 turbo - w123love - 12-05-2012
