Trannies with two starter blisters - Syncro_G - 02-24-2011

With some regularity, I'm seeing MB trannsmissions on EBay that have two starter blisters on their bell housings. Often one blister will have a thin metal plate covering it. I haven't seen any part numbers yet but they seem to come from 90's era V8's.
It would seem that adapting one of these ith a new flex plate would be simpler than doing both a flex plate and starter relocation.
