Engine block 300D vs 300TD - Atli - 10-23-2010

Hi

One question.

Is the engine block the same in 300D and 300TD?

The 300D is the original engine from my 1991 300GD No turbo.

The 300TD is 603.960 with turbo.

I am wondering to swop the engine block because it is badly damage in the 300TD.

Regards
Atli

A 300D is a sedan and a 300TD is a station wagon. There is no difference in them except the steering pump has a second pump for the SLS.

Hi

Ok, then I have the name wrong.

I have two engines, both is I6, one has turbine and the other not.

The NA engine is out of 1991 300GD
The Turbo engine is 603.960.

Do you know if engine blocks can be interchanged an if the NA engine is as strong?

Different cranks I'd imagine if the 603 differences are similar to that of the 617.
