looking to do a intercooler on the 300sd like i see alot of other memeber have?

can anyone help or point me in the right direction on which parts to buy and how i would go about installing it? is this a easy DIY job?


and what would be the benefits?

Without other mods, benefits are practically none. Yes, the engine sucks in cooler air, but with so low stress levels as these have as standard, it doesn't matter. Not a single hp or lb-ft more. If pipings are "russian", you can make it worse than stock.

If you have to ask about this, it won't be quick and easy job Big Grin But go for it, just reserve enough time, tools and equipment.

Well, that's a hard one to say in public but "jerry-rigged" would be the politically correct way to say it.

I used to work for a Company that sold East German equipment, based in Dresden and Radebul. Part of the equipment was made in Russia because of the Communists. When that part came to the factory in Germany it was disassembled and rebuilt. The Russian bolts were made on a lathe instead of a thread rolling machine and they were shit.
