RE: EngineSystemsManagement - winmutt - 06-17-2013 Working! RE: EngineSystemsManagement - winmutt - 08-28-2013 I found this library which will hopefully reduce the flickering and improve over all performance: https://github.com/sseltzer/SSeltzer_LCD_TS_Library/wiki/Speed-Differences Currently I am changing the screen at every degree and had planned on rounding to 10. I still might round to 10 or even 50 for temp, but boost is going to be single digit increments and tach is /100. RE: EngineSystemsManagement - winmutt - 09-27-2013 2.1 Now with boost (needs calibration I think). Rounded EGT off at 50, don't like it. When I reprogram boost I will round to 10. RE: EngineSystemsManagement - winmutt - 09-27-2013 BINGO! I was right on the money, almost. Found the info on the startek w124 manual. Looks like it's good for 0.5bar -> 3 bar abs I dont think this changes much in my calibrations. Currently I am doing analog read (0-1023)/43.5, Looks like I need to *1.05 in order to compensate for a max reading of 4.75v at 5v in (I'm on 3.3v so..) RE: EngineSystemsManagement - tamathumper - 10-09-2013 Outstanding work! It looks great integrated into the gauge cluster. I'm doing something similar on a Porsche OBD-I platform, and I was hoping you could help me with a couple questions. I've been waffling back and forth between Netduino and Arduino and have pretty much settled on the Arduino platform - the community is miles better, and the number of examples is amazing. - I'm considering an Arduino "Uno" driving a 4D Systems .96" OLED, any pointers for an Ardunoob? - How did you get such a good mount in the gauge cluster - razor knife, Dremel? Keep up the great work - I subscribed to your channel on YouTube as well. RE: EngineSystemsManagement - winmutt - 10-09-2013 Make sure you buy one with enough memory. The Mega fit right on the back of the gauge. I used a chisel, the proper way is with a punch but I couldn't find a punch in my size. I *do* believe that 0.96" is a common size punch. If you cant get a punch, the one thing I liked about the chisel was that it was all or nothing. By that I mean is once you had it lined up you could do most or all of the cut in one line. Saws have a tendency to meander for me. I'd avoid the OLED because of refresh time. (unless they have fixed that). RE: EngineSystemsManagement - winmutt - 11-03-2013 Picked up a relay and nozzle today for water injection.... Should be in later this week when I get bored. RE: EngineSystemsManagement - tamathumper - 12-28-2013 Hey winmutt, hope your holidays are going great, and progress on your project continues? I started a blog to share my progress, including printed circuit board designs for the display controller and car/arduino power supply with UPS functionality (hosted on OSH Park), plus links to all the needed electrical parts on Mouser. You're welcome to download them if they're useful in your project. It's at pduino.blogspot.com, and there's a link back to this thread in the first post. Thanks for the inspiration, and continued good luck with your project! |
