It should be nearly a bolt on replacement that gives better efficiency than the stock turbos.

I believe these mazdaspeed turbos have a T3 Inlet flange.

The 54mm compressor is small. 56mm should be the minimum on a Garrett GT turbo, 59mm would work even better.

You are right, it looks like it would be a bit too small for anything other than stock boost settings. It would spool faster than stock though.

This turbo has the 60-trim compressor wheel. It should be good up to 20psi and move all the air you need for the limiter removal modification.

Its rare and a better match to the OM6xx diesel's airflow needs. An HE351VE would have to be pumping over 40psi@5000rpm to come close to it's limit while this one only needs 30psi, more than most anyone could ever use/need.

Plus, it's T3 flange means no adapter plate!

1980 240D 3.0T
Modifications: OM617.95, 4-speed manual, W/M injection, 2-micron Baldwin BF7591-D fuel filter, ALDA removed, no EGR, 3.07 diff, Amsoil EaBP 90 bypass oil filter, Mobil1 5W-40 synthetic oil.
