Got bored with one of my sets of wheels and invested $20 in some paint and masking tape. I think they turned out good. Turns a few more heads now, not sure if its looks of awe or confusion though.
What do you think? Thoughts?
1978 300D N/A Mechanical: Rapid glow plug kit. Engine, Trans, and rear diff from 83 300TDT. GT2359 Turbo, Air to Air front mount intercooler. Cosmetic: Exterior color changed to silver, Interior dyed black, modified 18" 219 wheels, engine and engine bay painted to match exterior.

111 chassis undergoing full restoration. Body work in progress. Merging with a 1996 S500 (119 engine, 722.6 trans, and both subframes)
I think it looks pretty interesting, more aggressive than before.
Personally, I like the basic rim design of the rims you have on the wagon in your vehicle profile thread over these. What do they look like turning? I imagine that might be a very cool flashing pattern at highway speed
I must say they do look really nice when turning. Ya the original 19" silver wheels to accent the chrome trim of the wagon and fill the wheel wells up better, but the black wheels compliment the dark maroon and black 2 tone paint. I cant really make up my mind which is better so I will just keep swapping depending on the mood im in(haha).
