Provent PCV oil separator
I have a new, unused Mann-Hummel provent 200 air/oil separator for sale.
I was planning to mount it in my G-Wagen but I don't have enough space for it.

These are supposed to be awesome for keeping oil out of the intake. It should be perfect for cars with modded air intakes.

I'd like to get $150 for it. PM me if interested.

Here's a picture from the web:

It's about 4" across at the cap and about 7-8" tall (rough estimate from memory).

Looks similar to the one used on the 83 240D.

Indeed. I don't recall anybody taking one apart, so if its as effective as a provent is unknown.

I modified a harbor freight 1/2" air/water separator to be my CCV and it works pretty darn well. Its up to four 20oz bottles of oil removed from the air.

don't know what the "83 240D" thing you're referring to is but here's another web pic of a disassembled provent. It has some valving and a particle filter.

I have taken apart a 240 breather, it just has a rubber diaphragm that is spring loaded and a scroll path where the vapor enters.

I just bought a 240 seperator off an 83. told the PNP guy what it was. He listed it on my reciept as "strange little plastic t" $1.99 Big Grin.

Last one I bought was charged about $15.

That`s a fine looking breather you have in your avatar. Wink Heart.

Might suck your crank case dry.

Ah, so its basically just a crankcase depression regulator. Makes sense with the butterfly on the intake.

RE: Provent PCV oil separator
Alright...... the purchaser has had about six weeks to install their new Provent. C'mon, let's see the install pictures..... I like the air/oil separator designed for an air compressor idea. I'm so sick of the old intake on my 300D I want to rework it, not even to go any faster, but for ease of removal and re-installation. It's making me curse late at night.
