So the board has been running for several years now. Initially I had other clients running on the server but they have now moved on to fully dedicated services and I am left paying for the hosting out of pocket (been this way for over a year).

I am looking for sponsors, anyone willing to pay for a month will get a special cookie or something. The rent is $36 and change a month, I would prefer for contributors to pay for one month outright so that I don't have to deal with paypal fees and what not. If anyone is interested, please PM me. I don't have much to offer other than "LIFETIME MEMBERSHIP" which is kind of a joke since I do things free here and without any kind of limitations or generally any expectations from the users other than good information and the general camaraderie that I think we have here.

In the mean time expect some unobtrusive ads, sorry guys but I am shelling out over $400 a year which could be spent on fixing my 5 speed trans, getting my VNT mounted or better yet, my kids college tuition.

Tis the season and I know things are tight, if you cant contribute now, think about it the next time your in the black.

I was trying to avoid the doubled fees from paypal however the webhost said this was pretty much the only way to do it (he doesn't take checks at all!). Wow guys, I am pleased to say that the response is overwhelming. I am going to continue to collect funds until the first and then make a lump sum payment along with the thank you list. I still plan on some minor advertising but the contributions I have received so far will keep me from having to go after true corporate sponsorship.

It is good to know that others feel as good about this site as I do.

In other news, I am working on getting some prices on tshirts, blue tshirt with grey logo over the breast. Those who have already donated will receive discounted rates and for the rest of you, any profits will go to helping run the board.

Does $25 shipped sound fair? That should make for about $10 profit per tshirt. For those that have already donated I will do the shipping for free making it an even $20.

I have a minimum order of 24 but I will make the order as soon as I have enough to fill the minimum cost. The biggest single cost is the "setup fee" which is a one time cost of $35. Shipping to tshirt guy is $20 and cost per shirt with logo is $6. These are haynes beefy T's. If you are seriously interested pm me with the first word for TSHIRT in the subject.

Well not a lot of interest in the t-shirts. Good news is that the hosting is dropping like $10 a month and getting more memory. Thanks to all those that have helped out and continue to do so. We have about 4 more months of moola left, which is a lot better than me forking over all of it!
