75 300d injection pump questions
#1- This is a new car for me and I havent seen this kind of pump before. There is a dial on top of the pump that has what looks like elevation marks and a knob. I live at 600 ft above sea level so I turned it all the way to the left (counter clockwise) which I think is zero. Is there any other info I should know about to knob or setting? The knob doesnt have a definite arrow for letting me know where it set at but common sense tell me left is zero.
#2- This is more of a maintenace issue but bear with me. There is a place to add oil on top of the pump, again something new to me. I got the car for $250 bucks and have changed all the filters and fluids except this and if it needs it or not I want to get it done. So... could someone please tell me how to perform this bit of maintence including how much oil, what kind of oil, how to get it out? Any other info someone may have on the pump would be great.

Look at it again, there is an arrow.
The W115 pump shouldn't have an oil fill system, its lubricated by the engine like all later 300D models. Its the earlier 200D/220D/240D models that had an isolated pump.

I did find the oil feed line to the pump, thanks. There is a fill spot on top of the injection pump as well. Maybe for initial installation??
